Guardrail Systems
Guard Rail systems give you more choice depending on the job in hand.
Standard Free-standing Guard Rail -
The low cost freestanding solution to most guardrail requirements.
The Free-standing Guard Rail System provides the facility to carry out all kinds of roof based maintenance, in a safe and secure environment.
This Pre Galvanised Rail System conforms to BS 6399, and also to Standard: EN13374:2004.
It can be easily installed without damaging or weakening the integrity of the roof and has a standard height of 1100mm, the guard rail is not only tough and effective, but is also aesthetically pleasing. Uneven roofs are no problem either, as each leg is easily adjusted with the turn of a key to accommodate 100mm of up or down height difference.
Its modular form allows the flexibility to cope with even the most demanding of roof shapes.
We offer an “off-the-shelf” package, but are more than happy to design a bespoke package to suit your requirements. We can accommodate either a sliding access point, of self-closing swing gate for ladders or walkways in addition to parapet brackets which incorporate into the guard rail, access ladders, step-over platform walkways for raised ducting and pipe-work.
Radius Guardrail -
Radius Guardrail features a 60 degree curve that makes it invisible from street level, and more attractive on larger buildings.
Our Radius Guardrail is similar in construction to the Standard Free-Standing Guardrail, but features a 60 degree bend on the top section. This not only makes the guardrail more aesthetically pleasing with it's curved top-end, but also serves to make your building look less like a fortress.
But more importantly than that, the curve on the Radius Guardrail makes the whole rooftop safety system invisible from street level. This means that retail premises can benefit from the full safety of the guardrail without making their building look ugly to visitors.
This item is available in both pre-galvanized or aluminium.
Collapsible Guardrail -
Completely freestanding and easy to assemble, our Collapsible Rooftop Guardrail folds down when not in use to satisfy requirements for listed buildings.
Health & Safety in older buildings can be a real nightmare. You have to ensure that you meet all the working at height regulations, but you can't affect the look of the building. Not easy when your guardrail has to reach above the roof-level! Until NOW…. Introducing Collapsible Guardrail.
The magic is in the ultra-strong hinged bracket which allows the system to comfortably fold back on itself. This is fixed with a bolt and wing-nut meaning that each section can be erected or collapsed in under 30 seconds. In a similar way to our other systems, 20KG weights are used as feet every 5 metres which makes the system completely freestanding. This means no drilling which may cause damage the roof.

Parapet Guardrail-
Extends the height of a parapet to meet the Working at Height Regulations for Safety.
If you have a parapet, you may think everything is okay to work on the roof with regards to Health & safety. But this is only the case if your parapet is over 1 metre in height. If your parapet is only a foot high, Health-and-Safety isn’t going to be your friend for long.
There are two solutions you can choose. If you have strong, solid, good quality coping stones along the top of your parapet system, you might want to look at our Top-Fix System. But if your roof is just wrapped in felt, a much more substantial fixing must be used. The Parapet System is of modular design, and features adjustable clamps which clamp onto either side of your wall. The upright guard rail section then fits securely into the clamp and you're in safe hands.
The system is available in both Galvanised and Aluminium, and swing-gates and ladder systems can be manufactured to suit. The end of your parapet system can be fixed to a wall with a four-hole bracket.
Top-Fix Guardrail -
Our only non-freestanding guardrail. Topfix secures into the coping stones on top of your parapit wall as long as they are in good condition to provide permanent fixed protection from falls.
Top-Fix Guardrail is the ideal edge protection system for parapet roofs with good quality and condition coping stones lining the top as shown in the image below. If your coping stones are damaged, or weak, please see our Parapet Edge Protection System.
Top-Fix is adjustable in height and is available in Galvanised Steel or Aluminium. We can accommodate either a sliding access point, of self-closing swing gate for ladders or walkways. Access ladders, step-over platform walkways for raised ducting and pipe-work are also available.
